COTA Queensland's policy comprises Research, Policy Development & Advocacy. This involves undertaking research and development projects to advance the needs and priorities for older Queenslanders, developing policy positions to influence legislation impacting on older Queenslanders, and advocating COTA Queensland's policies to decision-makers and the community.

  • COTA Queensland identifies policy issues of local, state and national importance for seniors.


  • COTA Queensland researches seniors issues and develops policy and program responses based on members input, research, dialogue, and COTA Over 50s policy principles.


  • COTA Queensland auspices and manages ongoing consultative forums of seniors, policy makers and other stakeholders, for the discussion of issues, developments and policy.


  • COTA Queensland represents and advocates COTA Queensland policy, and provides leadership and expertise on ageing issues, to decision makers and centres of influence, and to the community generally.
