COTA Queensland in a partnership with Carers Queensland and Queensland Aged & Disability Advocacy has received 3 year funding from the Home & Community Care Program (HACC) to facilitate Consumer Forums throughout Queensland.

The partnership will consult with people who may use a HACC services or may need a service to assist them to live independently in the home of their choice. This is an opportunity for the aged frail, young disabled and their carers to give their confidential feedback on HACC services.

The partnership has planned forums specific to different groups such CALD (culturally & linguistically diverse) ATSI (Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander) and LGBT (lesbian gay bisexual transsexual). Forums for the following areas are in development.

  • Pine Rivers
  • Nundah
  • Brighton
  • Charleville
  • Cunnamulla
  • Warwick
  • Laidley
  • Ipswich
